PI: Shijia Pan (CV, Google scholarORCID)

Dr. Shijia Pan is an assistant professor in the Computer Science and Engineering Department. She received her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Technology from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). Her research interests include cyber-physical systems, Internet-of-Things (IoT), and ubiquitous computing. She worked in multiple disciplines and focused on self-assessing and self-adaptive heterogeneous cyber-physical systems for accurate human information inference.

Zhizhang Hu, UC Merced

(2020/08 - present) 

Zhizhang has an interdisciplinary background: mechanical engineering, building science, and data science. He received his Master's degree from the School of Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University in May 2020. His research interests include data mining for time-series sensor data streams, machine learning, deep learning, and non-intrusive behavior monitoring. Zhizhang joined the lab as a PhD student in 2020 fall.

Shubham Rohal, UC Merced

(2021/01 - present)

Shubham is a PhD student in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department at the University of California, Merced since 2021 summer. His research interest includes Machine Learning, Cyber-Physical Systems, and Computer Vision. He received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science Engineering from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.

Yue Zhang, UC Merced

(2021/09 - present) 

Yue received his Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in the Department of Electronic Engineering at Tsinghua University in 2019 and 2016. His research interests include sensor networks, embedded systems, and indoor human information acquisition. He is a J-1 Visiting Scholar since the fall of 2019 and joins the lab as a PhD student in the 2021 fall.
